Road Closures
This section is in two parts, part one below, the map, shows the road closures, if you click on the pin for the road you are interested in it will show you the time the road closes, all roads will be reopened as soon as it is safe to do so.
Part two below the map shows a text version of the road closures.
Overview
At 1000 hours the Northbound side of Parkway is closed to enable the procession to line up. A contra-flow system on the southbound carriage is installed at this time. Also at 1000 hours Wyndham Road and Frederick Road, from its junction with Wyndham Road to Parkway, are also closed to facilitate the assembly of the procession. Access to Fairfax Road is maintained where it meets Parkway. Access will be maintained to Sydenham Close, Charlton Close and Bincombe Road in order to facilitate access by Emergency Vehicles.
At 1400 hours High Street, Clare Street, York Buildings, Lamb Lane and Cornhill will close to facilitate the street entertainment, etc in High Street and on Cornhill.
At 1730 hours the following roads are closed:
Broadway from the junction with Penel Orlieu
Broadway (northbound) from Salmon Parade
These closures are put in to facilitate the erection of the Grandstands.
At 1815 hours closure points will be installed at the following locations:
Bath Road/Bower Lane
Bath Road/Parkway
Westonzoyland Road/Parkway
Parkway/Sydenham Road (at the junction nearest Bath Road)
At 1830 hours closure points will be installed at the following locations:
Bristol Road/The Drove
The Clink/The Leggar
Eastover/Church Street
Eastover/Monmouth Street
Eastover/St John Street
St John Street/Barclay Street
St John Street/Westonzoyland Road
Town Bridge/Binford Place
Town Bridge/Salmon Parade
Town Bridge/Eastover
Salmon Parade/Broadway Northbound
Salmon Parade/Broadway Southbound
Dampiet Street/George Street

After the procession passes the following closure points will be installed to assist with the passage of the procession and the departure of the crowds from the town.

Broadway (southbound) at Eastover junction
Broadway (northbound and southbound) at Salmon Parade junction
St Mary Street at junction with Little St Mary Street
Broadway (northbound) at Penel Orlieu junction
