Come and have a go – Carnival Skills Workshops
Bridgwater Carnival is keen for carnivalites to obtain new skills and with the support of the Arts Council who have funded the workshops in the past we hope to arrange some workshops in 2022, funding dependant.
The workshops are organised as a series of carnival ‘taster’ workshops at Bridgwater College when anyone, whether or not they’re involved in carnival, can have a go at developing their skills. Each workshop will be led by college tutors or experienced carnivalites who will pass on their knowledge and expertise. In addition members of both Luton International and Notting Hill carnivals who designs and constructs amazing costumes have in the past shared their skills using techniques and materials which will be new to many.
There was no charge for taking part so you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!
