British Flag Carnival Club should have celebrated their 70th year in 2020, but with the pandemic putting a stop to that, 2022 is going to be a big year for the club.
Over the past 15 years, the club has really gone from strength to strength, and has grown in members. It welcomes members of all ages, and prides itself in bringing young people into the club where they can learn new skills in a safe and secure environment.
The club, who are based at The British Flag Pub (Chilton Street, Bridgwater) offers a successful bar and catering service to help raise funds, and this has really grown in popularity in recent times.
In the last few years, the members have built a new shed for the club at Westonzoyland. This has allowed the space and the capacity for them to get back to building a full size 100ft entry for 2022, having entered smaller units into Bridgwater Carnival for the last few years.
