Grandstands

GrandstandGrandstands seats for the 2024 procession will be available from 9a.m on Friday 1st March at £30 per seat. They will be on sale online (preferred option) or at the Carnival Centre, seat prices have had to rise to £30 due to the increased cost of hiring the grandstands. We are trying to maintain the usual number of stands, so don’t leave it too late to book as we sold out well before the carnival last year, tickets will be dispatched by email, or there is the option of having them posted for £2 if required?

Seats in the stand are numbered, so seats will be reserved, in addition they have some cover so in case of inclement weather (almost unheard of on the night of Bridgwater Carnival!).

Please note start time – Don’t forget the Carnival starts at 6.00 p.m. It is now our intention to keep these start times for the future. Main roads into the town will be closed to traffic starting from 4p.m., with some road closures coming into effect to at 2p.m. to allow for grandstands to be positioned prior to the procession, so if you are coming please leave early to avoid disappointment.

The location of the grandstands will be the same as 2023 and will be located at the Broadway East location, adjacent to the Mercure hotel between St John Street and the river bridge and the hospitality stand in Taunton Road. The Broadway site is near the start of the procession. See the map on the location page.

If you are purchasing stand tickets please do not arrive at the stand before 5 p.m. as the stands need to be erected and this is very difficult to achieve with people milling around, your co-operation is appreciated.

PRS for Music licences the use of copyright music across the UK, giving businesses and organisations the legal permission they need to play the music they want.

These licences ensure that music publishers, songwriters and composers are fairly rewarded with royalties so they can keep making music – and mean that we’re able to support music at events like this.
