The countdown is on to the 2026 Bridgwater Carnival Concerts, which get underway next month at The McMillan Theatre, Bridgwater, with organisers urging anyone still hoping to attend to secure their seats while they can.
This year’s concerts run from Sunday 4 October to Thursday 15 October 2026, bringing together Bridgwater’s famous Carnival clubs, dancers and Front of Curtain performers for twelve performances packed with music, dance, comedy, spectacular costumes and the creativity which has made the concerts such an important part of Bridgwater Carnival.
Ticket sales have once again been exceptionally strong. Some performances are already completely sold out, while many of the remaining nights now have only very limited availability.
Anyone hoping to attend is therefore encouraged not to leave it too late.

20 YEARS OF CARNIVAL CONCERT CHAMPIONS
Competition has always been at the heart of the Bridgwater Carnival Concerts.
The prestigious White Hart Cup is awarded to the gang or feature gaining the highest number of points in the concert competition, and a look back over the last 20 years highlights just how competitive the battle for Bridgwater’s top concert prize has been. (Bridgwater Carnival)

That leaves Gremlins CC and Ramblers CC jointly leading the way over the last two decades, each having lifted the White Hart Cup five times.
Ramblers are also the defending champions after taking the 2025 White Hart Cup with All Out Together, meaning one of the big questions as the curtain prepares to rise again is simple:

MONTHS OF WORK READY TO TAKE TO THE STAGE
Behind every few minutes of performance seen by audiences are months of rehearsals, choreography, costume making, scenery preparation and commitment from hundreds of Carnivalites.
The concerts provide audiences with an opportunity to see another side of Bridgwater Carnival, with the town’s clubs transforming themselves from the huge illuminated entries seen on Carnival night into theatrical performers on stage.
The 2026 concerts will once again showcase Carnival clubs alongside talented dancers and Front of Curtain acts, creating twelve nights of entertainment ahead of the main Bridgwater Carnival procession on Saturday 7 November 2026. (Bridgwater Carnival)
