The popular Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival, which has the reputation for being one of the largest illuminated processions in Europe, will this year take place on Saturday 2 November.
Preparations are already underway to make sure it is the biggest and best yet, and tickets for the popular all seater grandstands will be available from Friday 1 March at 9am.
Costing £30 each, the highly sought after tickets can be purchased online from Bridgwater Carnival’s official website shop or from the Carnival Centre, High Street, Bridgwater. Those buying tickets online will for the first time be able to choose their specific seats for the grandstands.
Karen Gibbs, Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival’s Commercial Director, said: “Grandstand seats provide an ideal opportunity to watch our carnival in relative comfort, and if you would like to buy tickets, our advice would be to do so as soon as possible.
“The tickets are regularly offered as part of package deals by coach companies and local hotels, and we have already received many enquiries about them for this year’s carnival”.
Demand for the grandstand tickets has soared in recent times, and last year all 1,954 tickets were sold weeks in advance of the big day, despite the increase in the cost of living across the country.
Karen added: “We will continue to do everything we can to keep the price of our grandstand tickets affordable. There are only a handful of grandstand suppliers in the country, and despite the suppliers once again raising their hire costs, there has only been a slight increase in the cost of our grandstand tickets for this year”.
