Jim Bailey was a founder member of Shell Mex C.C. his memorial cup was presented by his wife Joan.
Awarded for: – Procession – Comic Feature Mounted – Bridgwater entry.
There was an amendment in 2000 that the entrants must be in 4th position or above to be awarded this cup.
CARNIVAL AWARDED ARTS GRANT Arts Council England has, once again, recognised the valuable role which Bridgwater Carnival performs in the local community by awarding a grant of £18,291 towards some of the organisation’s upcoming activities.
