Organisers of this year’s Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival are asking local charities, clubs and organisations to nominate themselves for the chance to benefit from this year’s Carnival collection.
During the last seven years Bridgwater Carnival has raised over £130,000 for local good causes and this year they hope to break the £150,000 barrier.
Malcolm Cattle, Bridgwater Carnival President, said: “Raising money for charity has always been at the heart of the Carnival. We are looking for local groups and charities to help with collections, stewarding and merchandise sellers. Not only do they get to raise funds for their cause they also get to be a part of the famous Carnival. ”
Any group with some time to spare on carnival day and wanting to help not only Bridgwater Carnival but also their PTA, Sports Club or favourite charity please contact Mike Dodden, Chairman of Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival, on mike@mjdodden.co.uk or 07540 052982 for more details.
The closing date for applications is 1 September 2017.
