Tickets for the highly anticipated Bridgwater Carnival Concerts 2026 will go on sale on Friday 1 May 2026 as excitement builds for one of the town’s most popular and long standing events.
The concerts will run from Sunday 4 October to Thursday 15 October 2026 at The McMillan Theatre, Bridgwater, bringing together the very best of Bridgwater’s Carnival clubs, dancers and performers for a vibrant series of live shows. Known for their high energy performances, spectacular costumes and creative excellence, the concerts remain a highlight of the local calendar and an integral part of the wider Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival celebrations.
Performances will include two Sunday matinees on 4 and 11 October at 2:00pm, a Saturday evening show at 6:00pm, with all other performances starting at 7:00pm. Tickets are priced at £25 and, with demand expected to be high once again, organisers are encouraging people to book early to avoid disappointment.
Tickets will be available in person from the Carnival Centre on Bridgwater High Street from 9:00am, with online sales opening at 10:00am via the official Bridgwater Carnival website:
Publicity Director Lewis White said the concerts continue to go from strength to strength: “The Carnival Concerts are always one of the highlights of the year, and 2026 is shaping up to be another fantastic showcase of local talent. Tickets sell incredibly quickly each year, so I would strongly encourage people to secure theirs early.”
New for 2026 is a special performance sponsorship initiative, offering businesses the opportunity to support individual concert nights while gaining valuable exposure through one of the region’s most recognised community events. The initiative has already attracted strong backing from a range of local and national businesses including McFarland Transport, The Cornhill, BAR Brunel, JD Wetherspoons, AJP Safety Solutions, FCS International Shipping Limited, Parker Service Group, Bridgwater Car & Van Hire and Little Crickets Pre School.
A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are still available and businesses interested in being part of the concerts are encouraged to make contact via lewis@bridgwatercarnival.org.uk or sponsorship@bridgwatercarnival.org.uk .
Chairman Duncan J. White highlighted the importance of the concerts within the Carnival calendar, saying: “These concerts represent months of hard work and dedication from our Carnival clubs. They are a fantastic opportunity for the public to see the creativity, skill and effort that goes into making Bridgwater Carnival so special.”
Publicity Director Lewis White also took the opportunity to thank those already supporting the 2026 concerts and to recognise the efforts of Carnival clubs preparing for the season ahead: “I would like to thank all of our sponsors for coming on board and for their continued support of Bridgwater Carnival. Your backing plays a vital role in helping us deliver these events year after year. I would also like to wish all of our Carnival clubs the very best of luck over the coming months as rehearsals and preparations continue, we look forward to seeing the incredible results on stage in October.”
The concerts will once again follow the traditional Carnival competition format, with clubs competing for a range of prestigious trophies that underpin the long-standing competitive spirit of the event.
Bridgwater Guy Fawkes Carnival, established in 1881, is widely regarded as the largest illuminated carnival in Europe and continues to attract tens of thousands of visitors each year. Since 2000, Carnival related activities have raised more than £600,000 for local charities and community organisations.
The 2026 Carnival procession will take place on Saturday 7 November, starting at 6:00pm.
