For those people who do not have easy access to a computer, concert tickets can also be ordered in advance by completing a simple form available from Friday 1 April at the carnival centre located in Bridgwater’s High Street. Advance tickets ordered by either method will receive the same priority. Tickets will be sent out by post only and will incur a small postal charge and whilst the night is guaranteed, individual seats cannot be reserved.
The popular concerts have been an annual feature in Bridgwater since 1883, and will be seen as a curtain raiser to the eagerly anticipated procession on Saturday 5 November 2016. Over 5,000 tickets are available for the performances, where a cast of over 600 entertainers from 13 carnival clubs, dance troupes and front of curtain acts entertain an enthralled audience.
With the carnival procession just over 220 days away, preparations are also quickly gathering pace for the town’s biggest night of the year. Tickets for the all seater grandstands which line the carnival procession route will also be available to pre-order from Friday 1 April 2016. The 2,200+ tickets, kindly sponsored by EDF Energy (Hinkley Point B and C), cost £15 each and will be available at our online shop, at the carnival centre or from Mike Crocker on 01278 451415. Last year all grandstand tickets sold out three weeks in advance of the big day, and again demand for these highly sought after tickets is expected to be high.
