Have you ever thought you might like to join Carnival but not sure where to start or what skills you have to offer? Well this might just be your chance.
With the support of its sponsors, Bridgwater Carnival Committee is organising a series of carnival taster workshops at Bridgwater College. Anyone can have a go, whether you’re already involved in carnival or not.
Workshops range from welding to make-up and will be led by college tutors or experienced carnivalites who will pass on their experience and expertise.
The workshops will run on two dates, Saturday 16 June and Saturday 7 July, and include full or half day sessions depending on the workshop you take part in. The sessions are free and you can attend as many as you like.
Workshops on offer are: Welding, model making, model making – fibre glass, costume design, costume construction, carnival make up and prosthetics, stage design construction, stage set design, stage set painting, cart design, hair design.
